Welcome to the Matt Argyle Band All Along the Watchtower page

We love good music in this band, in our opinion you can't beat the combination of acoustic guitar, viola, bass and drums. The story behind this song is that a radio DJ friend of our, Mark Ringwood, was playing a version of All Along The Watchtower every week on his show by a different artist. Having got through Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix, Matt lent Mark his Dave Matthews Band Live at Red Rocks CD which has a great version of the song. Mark joking asked if the Matt Argyle Band were going to do a version because he was running out artists who had covered this song. Well the rest is history. It was recorded in a chapel in Chichester in 3 takes, which challenged out recording guru Pete. I hope you all enjoy it.

We are sorry that you have had to come to this page to get your MP3 file, but it has been bought to our attention that some people are harvesting our work off the web without the good grace to link back to us.

Being as we are giving you something for free it would be great if you could put your email address in the box below so we can send you updates about the band. We don't do this everytime we get a gig or everytime Pete blows up another piece of audio equipment, just when we have something important to tell you, we will never, ever, ever, share your email address with anyone else.

YOU WILL BE ASKED FOR A USERNAME AND PASSWORD FOR THIS SONG - THE USERNAME IS : mab AND THE PASSWORD IS : mab (this is to stop people using automatic processes to direct link in and steal our MP3's sorry about that).

Don't worry though you can the Matt Argyle Band version of the Bob Dylan classic All Along The Watch Tower which is available as an MP3 file.
